    Was faced with a very specific issue today which involves me being locked from using any games associated with my X-Box account. In order to explain the issue, it is best to describe a timeline of events and using the example game Minecraft:

    1. create a Mojang account and buy Minecraft (long ago)
    2. successfully migrate the Mojang account to a Microsoft account associated with the same email address A as the Mojang account
    3. Create a new Microsoft account for unrelated reasons with email address B
    4. Create X-Box profile associated with Microsoft account registered to address B
    5. Migrate (merge) account registered to address A into account registered to address B
    6. Delete leftovers of account associated with address A
    7. Try to log in to X-Box account which I assumed to be merged as well
    8. Can only log into X-Box account originally associated with address B
    9. X-Box account originally associated with address A is inaccessible

    You can see the old account A as username "bruh20631" and the newer account B as "Dismuetre". "Dismuetre" does not have a valid license of Minecraft, but "bruh20631" does. However, since the underlying accounts were merged and account A deleted, logging into X-Box with my address B now always takes me to profile "Dismuetre". Any games associated with profile "bruh20631" are now gone. Trying to manage anything concerning "bruh20631" leads me to the "Dismuetre" profile.

    Please note that this is NOT about a migration from Mojang to Microsoft, this is an account migration from Microsoft to Microsoft. Also note that account A is gone and irretrievable. All I want to do is claim back the games that I paid for. Support for such an issue is apparently not easily available, which is why I'm asking here.

    1. Verify that you are using the correct email address to sign in to your Xbox account. You may be signed in to the Xbox account associated with the newer email address, rather than the Xbox account associated with the original email address.

    2. If you're sure you're using the correct email address, try resetting your Xbox password. In my experience this can help fix any issues that may be causing the problem.

    No, it doesn't work, it's one Xbox account for each email, probably by trying to merge them you caused a conflict between your accounts. The truth is that it seems like a problem that we cannot solve alone. The most advisable thing in these cases is that you contact support. Xbox technician. They will find a solution for your accounts.

    Hi,

    as I said, the former email does not exist anymore, so there's just one email left to log in with, which is email "B" as described above. Email "A" is no longer registered at Microsoft and also does not exist as a mail address anymore.

    I already reset the password before posting here. Resetting the password has no effect on the issue. The only proof I have is me seeing two X-Box accounts in my game launcher. Since I merged two Microsoft accounts I assumed that the X-Box accounts would be merged as well, as these do not exist as standalone accounts without connection to a Microsoft account.

    Got it! Yes, this can only be migrated to one Microsoft account and after the migration, you cannot connect it to another account anymore. Thanks for reaching out.

    I found X-box Support ,and they said they will help me to change my account region.

    But i still think people need the migration tool.

    Because x-box live account and live account has relation.

    the live account is email account, skydrive account and so on.

    people won't give up this account because wrong xbox-live account' region.
