Logged into a family account and moving can dlcs on family account be transfered?

I am logged in to a family Xbox account with my own separate profile and I will be moving soon and I will no longer be in the family account but my profile is still on the other Xbox I’m taking with me so I was wondering regarding sims and other dlc’s purchased on the Xbox currently will I be able to transfer those dlcs to the new Xbox without being on the family account and how do i do it? Do I have to go through EA or is it a technical transfer made through the xbox’s?

Hi Phoenix, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you with your concern.

I apologize but DLCs or games can't be transferred from one account to another.

Just a friendly reminder though that setting up a family group does not mean that the game, DLCs, and subscriptions will be shared to their account, it is a feature where you can manage a child account.

To get this fixed, you need to ask the account owner where the DLCs were purchased to set their account as Home Xbox on the console that you're using in that way all profiles logged in to the console will be able to use your games, DLCS, and subscriptions.

"1. Ask them to sign in to their account on the Xbox that you will be using

2. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

3. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Personalization, and then select My home Xbox.

4. Check "Make this as My Home Xbox"."

Please note that they can only set their account as Home Xbox to one device at a time and will only be given 5 switches per year.

MS points can only be transferred to another account if they are part of a family plan if you are not part of a family plan then you cannot move them.

So the account isnt set up as a family account. Can i just keep account as it is but move it to family or do i need to create a new account under family ? My concern is if i do will i be able to transfer everything as it is now over to the new ? Or as
i asked first , can i just edit my account now and change from individual account to family account ?

Most DLC is licensed to the account that bought it and the console it was first downloaded to. The Family Plan is not connected to the licensing.

With the first license you can use the DLC on any 360 but the purchasing account must be signed into Live or it will not work.

The console license lets all accounts use the DLC, whether there is a connection to Live or not.

What the license transfer does is move that second license, the console license, to a new 360.

Sorry, DLC/gold/MS Points (except within a family pack)/game saves are not transferable between accounts.
