    we bought our son an xbox one for his birthday today he has been desperate to play it since getting back from school and we cant log on it says the problem is with xbox, what is going on? its a joke that he cant even play a game from a disc we have already
    bought and paid for!!!! if this isn't sorted soon it will go back and he will have a ps4 instead!!

    • Any error message and if so, what is the exact message
    • Does it happen all the time or only certain times
    • Is the console connected wired or wireless

    There is currently a Service Alert out right now for Purchase and content Usage as well as for our Xbox
    Live Core services. There are many posting to remove and redownload your profile, you can try this step.

    Although, being the service alert is for signing in there are some who are
    unable to re-download profile after removing it. We suggest just waiting it out keep checking the service status. Also, there is way to get notified once there's an update with the Service alert.

    The error code 0x8a4001a is usually what most will see. Another error message is
    "There was a problem please try again later." If you decide to try the removal of the profile and not sure how to do so here is a link for it. As well as there is a link on how to Power cycle your console.

    Hey mate, it sounds like you somehow created a new account on Xbox.com from what was on your console. If both the password and email address for both accounts are the same, you'll want to call phone support for further assistance with the issue.

    Maybe you changed your Windows LIVE ID? Make sure they are the same one from the dashboard.

    http://xbox.com ? If you get 'Glitch in the system" then please visit
    http://commerce.microsoft.com and update your payment data. If that does not solve it, what are the error messages you get?
