Locked out of xbox online

To protect customer privacy, Microsoft can only help customers verify their account ownership through the online password recovery process.

If you remember any new details that might help with the recovery process, it's encouraged to keep trying to recover your account using the online account recovery form.

Note that disputing charges through your bank may result in the account being permanently banned, making any chances of recovering it impossible in the future.

As explained above, I'm afraid the online approach is the only possible option to recover the account. Customer support can't assist with the account recovery process.

Unfortunately, I don't have any further advice to offer.

thank you for the quick response, but as I said trying to recover via the online approach is not working,

I do not get a text to my recovery phone number even though i have tried several times

When I try via the online recovery, which I have done quite a number of times now i get "We recently received a request to recover your Microsoft account XXXXXXXXX.

Unfortunately, our automated system has determined that the information you provided was not

sufficient for us to validate your account ownership.

Microsoft takes the security and privacy of our customers very seriously, and our commitment to

protecting your personal information requires that we take the utmost care in ensuring that you are

the account owner.

We have taken the additional step of blocking your account XXXXXXXXX. until we can verify you as the

account owner. This will prevent any further use of the account, and protect you from any possible malicious

activity."

There are no contact numbers or chat and unfortunately the link you included in your response also does not work

so this sounds like I will need to get my bank to dispute the transaction as Microsoft has left me no alternative, such as talking to a human being so I can confirm any specific details required to confirm my identity
