Locked out of Xbox app on PC, can't update.

I can't get into Xbox or even the Minecraft launcher anymore, the app wont update. I have tried doing windows updates to no avail, restarting my computer, all that. I tried looking for my error code (0x80070426) on the list online and didnt find it there at all.

I would open the app, it would say the error message. But when I hit "Try again" it starts trying to update but stays at 0% forever.

Any and all advice would be appreciated, thank you

Please, run a system scan:

Open the Terminal window by pressing the Windows Key + X and Select "Terminal (Administrator)".

Type this command: sfc /scannow

Press Enter.

If any error is found, they will be patched.

Then use the DISM command.

On the same Terminal window, type these commands:

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Restart your PC.

After that, reinstall the gaming services:

Open the Terminal window by pressing the Windows Key + X and Select "Open Powershell as Administrator".

Type this command:

get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

In the same window, type the following command and press Enter:

start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

Install the app.

Restart your device and try to install the game again.

Hello ChakinSmooves, try first to check if there are no updates to be made on the system, they usually come as optional in the Update part, Microsoft released some updates this week.

Then restart your PC and go to the Xbox store and see if Xbox Services updates, have the Xbox Companion App installed on your PC, it works in conjunction with the Xbox App.

Sometimes some Apps may appear locked at the end, close the Store App, and open again that they will appear installed.

No sorry I'm not following. I can't figure out how to do what you suggested on pc xbox app or the android app?

Could you provide screenshots or something?

Are you referring to the android app or the pc app?

Ok, now my Xbox App is updated but still the same error and i can't start the game from the App. If i play the Game Xbox Live doesn't recognises it so its not showing in the Friendslist. I think this PC Title needs to be updated in the Xbox Live Database
or something like that.

If it's working on mobile, it could be something with your PC. Try signing out and back into the Xbox app on PC. Also, check for app updates in the Microsoft Store. If clips still don’t load, clear the app cache by going to Settings > Apps > Xbox > Advanced options > Reset.
