Locked out of online play

Essentially, I was playing with privacy settings in Microsoft and I repeatedly toggled two options by the names "You can play with people outside of Xbox Live" and "You can join multiplayer games" in an attempt to see what they did. In doing so I toggled these a multitiude of times. Eventually I gave up trying to figure out what they do and I went to go play a game online. My account is now locked out of online games despite the settings showing that they are enabled and I believe this was some issue regarding the servers not detecting that I had re-enabled online play and it continuisly not updating. Now I am unable to play multiplayer games. It works on other microsoft accounts, but not on other games with the same account.

To protect customer privacy, Microsoft can only help customers verify their account ownership through the online password recovery process.

If you remember any new details that might help with the recovery process, it's encouraged to keep trying to recover your account using the online account recovery form.

Note that disputing charges through your bank may result in the account being permanently banned, making any chances of recovering it impossible in the future.

As explained above, I'm afraid the online approach is the only possible option to recover the account. Customer support can't assist with the account recovery process.
