if you put in the passcode wrong 3 times it will reset and ask for your normal account password instead.

but more importantly, if you didn't set the pass key you should check to see whether someone else is using your account.

go to https://account.microsoft.com/security/ and check Sign in Activity

you should also go to https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders/ to see if there are unauthorised purchases on your account.

if your normal account password doesn't work or you see unrecognised activity on your account go to https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/account-profile/manage-account/compromised-account-solution
and follow the guide there.

Last ditched attempt before I cancel/return the xbox.

I tried speaking with the billing team again to verify what details they have, so I can ascertain why my actual details are being rejected at the ID verification stage.

(The order was via Klarna and I'm wondering if my account is not fully populated with my address etc, or if there are other relevant details missing?)

Anyway... they could not help... But to troubleshoot the above I was provided with..Yes..You guessed it! Another form!

'I'm unable to access my **********@outlook.com email. This email is the login for my xbox account which is associated with a 24 month game pass. I've had my password reset request rejected by the automated sys x5 times now. I've provided my home address, my DOB, my payment details (last x4 digital and expiry date) It asked about an xbox I do not own? (360 or one, I bought an S) I just need to restore access to my email account please. This was purchased via Klarna, so I don't even know what details you have on my account to verify?
