Locked out of Halo MCC Matchmaking on PC

Hello,

I'm using the Steam version of Halo Master Chief Collection on PC, which requires that the user be signed in to Xbox Live services to use online features like matchmaking. When I try to use those features after signing in, though, it tells me that I'm not
signed in to Xbox Live, and cannot access matchmaking. I was able to get into custom games with my friends earlier this evening, and they were able to matchmake before I joined the party, but after I joined they stopped being able to do matchmaking, and we
had to switch to custom games. After they left, I tried matchmaking on my own only to discover this issue. I tried restarting the game, then verifying my game files on Steam, which didn't help. Is my Xbox profile somehow suspended?

Nevermind, turns out Microsoft is blocking the VPN server I was connecting to, or the server somehow can't connect to Xbox services. I was also blocked from accessing the Xbox app or the Microsoft Store on PC. Anyway, switching to another server solved
it.

Well halo reach isn't part of the mcc as it's not part of the master chief story

It's an paid add-on to the mcc just like odst

Only the multiplayer matchmaking is free fyi

Reach is about team noble and tou play noble 6 and odst is about the rookie and buck hence why they weren't included

Halo reach and odst get an HD update with mcc vs the gamepass odst and reach which are 360 copies since the HD remakes makes them xbox one games it removes the region locks that occurs with 360 games

Onto your problem did you sign up for halo waypoint ? Not.sure if there is a pc app but did you check for the waypoint app t?

Waypoint is needed for all halo games and it is something that mcc requires since it affects your matchmaking and armor abilities on the console anyways so either you need to link your waypoint to your xbox account it's how you get bonuses like reach multiplayer or your recon armor on odst or halo 3 which requires certain achievements to be done

I'm on my Xbox 1 just logged onto it and fired up Halo MCC haven't been on it since early last month, no XBL Updates since then, and when I launched it, 3 Achievement notifications popped up! I guess they fixed Achievements for Halo MCC. I'm in a Team Slayer
multiplayer lobby and matchmaking is working!! I'm actually IN a multiplayer game in Halo MCC. Last time I was here, matchmaking was broken.

I really like the look of Warzone so i'm, hopeful it will be better than Reach.

I'm also hoping they learned their lessons from the broken matchmaking in the MCC and Halo 5 multiplayer will be problem free.

If multiplayer works properly on release then there is a good chance that Halo 5 will popular and be able to retain it's online population even after BO3 comes out.

If we have another repeat of the MCC broken matchmaking fiasco then i'm afraid Halo will lose all credibility and the series will die
