Locating already installed games on Xbox App Windows 10

I was wondering how to locate installed xbox game pass games on my pc. What happened is, I traveled with my laptop so I unplugged my external hard drives. I plugged in a new one just for movies since I wasn't going to have internet access where I was going. When I got back, I plugged in my previous hard drive (the onc with my game pass games installed) and there are no games being found when I open the app. I thought maybe I just have to click install on a game that I know to be on the hd and it would recognize that it's already installed. Nope, it just reinstalled the game on the hard drive, so now there are two copies of the game on the same drive. When I left, that external hd was E drive, now it is G drive and the hd with my movies is E drive. I guess that's why the app isn't finding the games on there anymore. I know there is a way to locate installed games, but I just can't seem to find it. Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

The Xbox App isn't a stand alone downloading app like for example, Steam or GoG. The Xbox App is simply a portal to allow you to download Game Pass games. The downloading is actually completed via the Windows Store.

Since Xbox App uses the Windows Store, error code 0x80070057 is actually a Windows 10 error code. There are many guides on the net to potentially fix this error, just google 'Windows error 0x80070057 like this

Likewise, error code 0x80070005 is also a Windows 10 error often referred to as an 'access denied' error. If you get this error when trying to change where default applications are installed, it typically means there is already a folder on the drive from
a previous PC or Windows installation.

Did you take any of these drives from a previous PC or have you recently re-installed Windows 10 from scratch?

All Windows 10 Applications install to a hidden folder called WindowsApps. On the C:\ drive, WindowsApps is located in a hidden folder in C:\Program Files.
Do not attempt to modify this folder. On other drives the WindowsApps folder will be located in the Root directory. So on say F:\ drive it would be F:\WindowsApps.

Do you already have a WindowsApps folder in your F:\ drive?

No. If you had done the 'upgrade' route you would still have access to Windows Apps and games previously installed on Windows 10. But since you chose to install from scratch, those files are locked away in encrypted folders that you will need to delete as they will not be accessible to a fresh install of Windows 11.
