    Local cache filling every few hours


    Hi, I am getting a New message on my Series X I’ve never seen before, many of you are probably familiar with it but I feel something is off about it.

    It started only after playing Forza Horizon 5 this week. It says ‘local cache almost full this could affect achievements etc’

    Then a few minutes or so later of playing, it’s the ‘local Cache is full’

    I also joined Xbox insiders on Monday, so I’m not sure if it’s Forza or insiders.

    So, no matter how many times I delete the Blu-ray persistent storage (I don’t watch blu-rays on my device anyway) and power down the device, remove power cable, hold power button several times, wait 5 mins and reboot… the message is back within the hour.

    To pop a cherry on the top, Microsoft support callback system is bugged all this weekend. Whenever I try and set up a call it says an error has occurred on the website. Im based in EU, tried setting up a call on UK, Sweden, USA websites on three devices on three browsers with different wifi or cellular connections.

    I’m ready to scream!

    Any help or ideas or MS employees lurking that have any inkling of what’s happening.

    Please help. Thank you

    Here is a guide I found on how to clear the cache:

    Clearing your Xbox One's cache can often help clear temporary problems that are causing connection or game-launch issues and we always advise trying this first if you're having any problems with
    the game on Xbox One.

    CLEARING THE XBOX ONE CACHE:

    1. Press and hold the power button on the front of the Xbox until it turns off completely.
    2. Unplug the power brick from the back of the Xbox. Press and hold the power button on the Xbox several times to expel any remaining power and clear the cache.
    3. Plug in the power brick.
    4. Wait for the light on the power brick to change from white to orange.
    5. Turn the Xbox back on as you would normally.

    Are you playing on the 360? If so, here’s a detailed list explaining how to clear your local cache:

    To clear the system cache

    1. Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and select System Settings.
    2. Select Storage.

    1. Highlight but don’t select a storage device, and then press Y on your controller for Device Options.
      Note It doesn't matter which storage device you choose. This clears the cache for all storage devices.

    1. On the Device Options screen, select Clear System Cache.

    1. When prompted to confirm storage device maintenance, select Yes.
      Note When you’ve successfully cleared the system cache, you’ll return to the Storage Devices screen. You can then press the Guidebutton on the controller and return to Xbox Home.

    To clear the cache on Xbox one, hold down the power button until the console shuts off.

    This should clear it for you

    On Xbox One, you can clear the cache with a full reboot. You can do this by holding the power button on th console for 10 seconds while it is on. Then just tap the power button to turn it back on.
