LiveTV black screen/picture after resuming from standby

I know this has been posted several times, but the thread titles are inconsistent, so I apologize for being repetitive. Doesn't happen always. Seems to happen most often in the mornings after an overnight of standby mode. I'm not sure if this is due to the
xbox getting an update, the TV app having some issue, because my hopper checks for updates and reboots every night, or sequence of xbox powering on devices, or....?

I've seen this issue posted in many places, for many setup combinations with different boxes and providers. My guess is it's an HDMI and/or app issue. Hard reboot fixes this, as does disabling standby in the power settings...but that's a sucky solution.

Freezing when resuming from standby mode

For the last week or so, my xbox will not play apps or games after resuming from standby mode. Sometimes, it will display the splash screen when starting the app or game, but it will never load. Sometimes, trying to choose a game or app is just unresponsive.
Any ideas what may be causing this?

Yes indeed, sorry to hear you have the same issue as others on the forum. It is the HDCP relay function, it is known and we are working on the issue. -Cheers

That doesn’t help. It’s not the quick resume I’m having issues with… it’s the fact that nothing will open after i wake my Xbox up from sleep or standby mode. It just all of a sudden started doing this a couple months ago.

I was playing destiny last night and then the console turned off and now after all the troubleshooting above it still just sits on a black screen with no sound or picture. It is picking up that the xbox is there because the tv tells me it's in the lower
resolution from the troubleshooting but doesn't go anywhere from the black screen. Please tell me this isn't the new 'RROD' :/

I have never had a game successfully resume after launching another app. I could leave AC4 running, turn off the console (standby), and come back later or days later and resume with no problem. But if I left it running, launched XBox Fitness, then went back
to AC4 later, loading screen. This was before the March update. Other games, like NFS, never would resume probably because it's always online and you're connected to someone else's box, or other people to yours. I don't think it works they way they demoed/intended
it to.

Ive tried this. and now its just a black screen

So after about 10/15 minutes of allowing the black screen to run a picture of a controller appeared instructing me to turn on my controller, i did that and no response.
