    Live TV - No Signal, Viewing Card Issue and HDTC issue.

    Hi all,

    I've been having problems with viewing tv through xbox pretty much from day 1. Now to the point that I have disconnected it.

    The issues have consisted of:

    • No signal Message on xbox;
    • Screen Freezes;
    • HDTC Error;
    • Viewing Card Needs Inserting.
    I've gone through various things with xbox support...Hard resets, soft resets, a loose connection on sky box (when this was fixed the issue reduced slightly), changing resolution set-up (Not an ideal solution by any means), playing straight through tv (bypassing
    AV Receiver)....But still I have these issues.

    I know what some of you may be thinking errors like the viewing card must be related to sky box rather than xbox (well you may be right and I'd think the same), but what I can't explain is why when I spend weeks without passing through xbox I don't get the
    error message, then as soon as I plug it back in I get the error message again. A similar thing occurs with the HDTC error. In summary in the two years before xbox one, and the times I have reverted back to normal tv I have had no issues...As soon as the xbox
    one is connected it's a completely different story.

    It's a shame, but fed up with it now so have disconnected until such a point it becomes worthwhile to live with the problems (not that you should ever have to).

    Paul

    :)

    Xbox One Live TV Setup causes BSkyB Viewing Card to be disabled

    Got the same Sky box as you and are having no issue with the viewing card the only issue is blurring of the picture that is not there with a direct connect to the TV.

    Xbox one TV Tuner question

    Hey Pixel,

    Sky freesat is different to freeview. You still need to use their boxes as the signal is still encrypted and you need the viewing card. The tv tuner is for un-encrypted signals - the tuner was never designed to take a viewing card etc as it would have pushed
    the price up too far.

    If this doesnt answer your question please create a new thread so support spot that you need help.

    TV Tuner choose TV Lineup only has OTA Antenna

    Hey, Tails222! Sorry to see any issue with setting up your OneGuide. With the TV Tuner, it only accepts OTA signals. If your cable provider isn't providing an OTA signal for your cable TV, the TV Tuner will not receive those signals. If your cable provider
    requires you to plug in a coax to receive the signal, you will need to have a set-top box to do pass-through with the Xbox One.

    For your TV, did you have to hook up a coax cable to be able to view your channels through there? Let me know so we can nail this one down. :)

    Unable to capture game footage due to HDCP

    Yeah I'm having the same issue, I can't use a switch to view on my tv and capture card. Had no issue with the 360, it's really annoying and I hope gets fixed.

    Original Xbox 500g No HDMI Signal

    If the console is not transmitting a signal to your TV then it may be an issue with the graphics card. I would suggest a repair of your console. This can be set up at
