    Live TV Frustration Since Launch


    I've had this issue since launch and reported it as part of most of the preview programs and it appears to still go unnoticed. Going to post it here in the official forums one last time hoping to get addressed or perhaps a possible solution from the community.

    Here is my setup:

    • Cox with Explorer 8642HDC
    • Harmony 650 Remote
    When I run the add cable wizard, I enter "Cox" as my cable box. I walk through the process of it sending commands to find the right box. It ultimately lands up on
    C3774.

    With C3774 the following situation occurs:

    SmartGlass Experience using Xbox tab and OneGuide:

    • When changing channel via OneGuide, I see the channel numbers appear on the screen, the channel changes and then the Cox Full Details overlay appears and never goes away.
    SmartGlass Experience using Cable/TV tab:

    • Using Guide button, channels change without hesitation (i.e. I don't see the channel numbers appear on the screen) and no Cox Full details overlay appear.
    • DVR Button is enabled.
    Doing some research on the forums, I found people suggestion to use the remote code
    C0877 for the cable box I have. I've changed to that remote code and this summarizes my experience:

    SmartGlass Experience using Xbox tab and OneGuide:

    • When changing channel via OneGuide, I see the channel numbers appear on the screen, the channel changes and I never see the Cox Full Details overlay.
    SmartGlass Experience using Cable/TV tab:

    • Using Guide button, channels change without hesitation and no Cox Full details appear.
    • DVR button is disabled (or grayed out).
    I cannot seem to have the overall good and consistent experience with my setup. Does any have any suggestions?

    I have used tv since launch. Since the update my tv has been skipping and jittery. Also showing pixelation. :( I really hope it's just a software problem.
