Valid point, I had forgotten about the cut off date for existing members.

Another way if a new subscriber would be get the special offer, cancel auto renew and use the trial once the 3 months expires.

If it's the 3 month promotion that includes 1,000 vbucks, then you would no longer be eligible. That offer is only available for new subscribers or subscribers who cancelled their gold prior to October 1.
