Live shared account

My son and I both received an xbox one for Xmas. We hooked them both up and I set up a live account on his and on mine. The next day he put a game in the disk drive and of course it was faulty. We sent it Microsoft and received another one. I again set
him up with the same account but he isn't no allowed to on live now. How do I fox this?

My son has both a one & 360 & a live account. My younger daughter (who almost never plays) wants to play destiny (on the 360)

Is there a way she can play by sharing his live account, but playing as herself? I didn't want to have to spend $60 for something she will almost never use.

I know that she can play games on live as guest, but she can't do that on Destiny since it's one player.

Can she play as "herself" without having her own live account?

Shared Account

I'm reluctant to completely shut down my Xbox 360. Can I keep it active by sharing the same account with my Xbox One S or do I need separate accounts?

 

So was the Xbox itself faulty or the game? I'm just asking so I know how to proceed....

If the console was replaced and you have a new one then all you need to do is put the xbl account on the new X1 and then he can play on live again. Henceforth (Don't know why I just used that lol) you will need the main live account on the console so he
can play on xbl provided he or they do not have their own xbl account.
