Live Gold - Free game but i paid

in order to download Games with Gold for free, you will need a paid Xbox Live Gold subscription, any free trials will not count as Gold to allow purchasing those Games with Gold games for free

i want to know are you making xbox live gold free? and when will i be able to play free online games on xbox one?

No. They are not making Xbox Live Gold free. They are only make games that are "free to play" such as fortnite for example, not require you to have gold to play online.

Other games that are not "free to play" will still require a paid Xbox Live Gold subscription in order to play them online.

There is no date announced yet for when free to play games could be played online without gold.

According to the forums, you're not a Gold subscriber, a requisite for getting the game for free, which would be why the system billed you for the game.

All purchases are stated to be final without a cooldown period or refunds, but to enquire about one you need to speak with phone/chat support, which you can do here:

Select either 'chat with Xbox support' or the phone option.

Unfortunately refunds are not something we are able to assist with on the forums.
