Literally Can't Unsub/Resub To Gamepass

So I let my Gamepass expire as gaming didn't seem too important after the elite shut down the whole world. However, as time went on I wanted to distract myself so I added some funds to my Xbox and lo and behold, I am unable to cancel, resub or upgrade
my Gamepass subscription. For some insane reason, even though I was using gift cards to pay for it, I have to add another payment method just to cancel it so that I can resub to it or upgrade it. Why? Why do you guys have to be so difficult? So I am blocked
FOREVER from using Gamepass again because I don't have a credit card to put on file? Absolutely ridiculous. I am so done with this company and it's stupidity. Microsoft will never see another dollar from me.

It sounds like auto-renewal was left on. So your subscription was set to renew instead of expire. Since they weren't able to charge you, you now have a balance you owe that will have to be paid off so you can get back online.

If I unsub and resub will I have to pay an initial amount to resub to gold? Or will my previous payment cover it?

@imatt B4M i tried unsub and resub couple weeks ago didnt work for me man.

I've been having the same problems and doing the trusted devices method didn't work, unsure if jumping straight to the unsub/resub method is smart or just waiting it out until tomorrow. This is incredibly frustrating, anyone hear anything yet?

This may be because the system has not processed your new subscription yet.

Although if you haven't:

- Unplug your console for 2 minutes then plug it in.

- Unsub and resub may be effective.

I would continue to talk with customer support if none of this works.
