Linksys: xbox turns off by itself..won't connect to hdmi

Well, found this too: If you're using an HDMI connection between the Xbox 360 and the TV, it might be that. When using HDMI, the Xbox won't boot up until it knows what the TV is capable of displaying. Although the controller will turn the console on, it
won't sync with the console -- and it's not a controller or console problem, but just a symptom of the fact that the Xbox won't get to the point where controllers will sync until it can properly communicate with the TV. I'd recommend turning off the TV and
the Xbox, disconnecting the HDMI cable and re-connecting it after making sure the contacts are clean. Then turn the Xbox back on first; you'll likely to see the same behavior. Finally, turn the TV back on. With it being switched back into HDMI mode, it just
might "kick-start" the Xbox into a good communication link across HDMI.

On some HD TV's there is a feature that, when connected to a device with HDMI, will "communicate" with that device. An Example of this is like my setup. I have a Blu-ray player connected via HDMI. When both TV and Blu-ray player are off, and I only turn
on the Blu-ray Player, they both turn on. It works the same way vice versa when I turn off my TV. I would go into your TV settings and look for a setting about HDMI "communication" and turn it off. Your TV might be telling your Xbox to "Turn on" and the Xbox
takes that as a command and "Turn itself back on" by restarting.

My Xbox will turn on fine, the problem is that it stays on for about 30 seconds and turns itself off. However, my television doesn't receive a connection. I checked the TV already and it's fine, along with the HDMI. I'll happily send a video if possible.
