    Two Xbox ones same house chat issue

    When both consoles are turned on, what NAT settings does each console see?

    Some routers don't handle multiple consoles very well and will put one (generally the one turned on second) into Strict NAT settings.

    I have two consoles on my home network (one for me and one for my wife) and got a router that supported gaming - NETGEAR Nighthawk AC1900 Dual Band Wi-Fi Gigabit Router (R7000).

    On my old Linksys router I got the same issue you describe as well as the occasional multiplayer connection issues.
