I've tried these settings as well as 2 other settings found on portforward.com that weren't necessarily for this router but I still get a moderate NAT :*( The other settings were for the EA4500 router and one off of the static ip steps for Xbox One.

    XB1R Hades,

The ports used by Xbox Live on Xbox one as indicated by the "Network ports used by Xbox Live on Xbox One" page are apparently

    •Port 88 (UDP)

    •Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)

    •Port 53 (UDP and TCP)

    •Port 80 (TCP)

    •Port 500 (UDP)

    •Port 3544 (UDP)

    •Port 4500 (UDP)

I seem to be running into an issue when trying to open Port 53(DNS) on both UDP and TCP. I can open 53 on TCP and UDP and my NAT will change to OPEN but after a minute or two or even less I get "unable to resolve DNS errors". without any port forwarding
I get a moderate NAT. which I have never had any known issues playing multiplayer on xbox live. the reason I am trying to get an OPEN NAT is because after 3-4 months of back and forth with various mediums of xbox support it is now being suggested that the
reason I am experiencing issues Playing Movies and TV shows purchased from Xbox Video on my Xbox One is because my NAT is moderate and not open. To me, that sudden revelation seems to be a bit strange because the NAT has always been moderate and I have never
had issues prior to 3-4 months ago. either way, would you have any insight as to what might be causing the DNS errors when port forwarding 53 UDP. thanks.

Port 53 is used for DNS. Don't forward this port. The list of "open" ports requires that these ports are open, not forwarded. Port 53 can be left out of port forwarding (as well as 80 and 88). When you reboot and check the network settings of the Xbox you
should be good. Also do not forward 80. I also did not forward 88.

Check your ports against any ports that might be used by other equipment as you could mess up access by that equipment:

    en.wikipedia.org/.../List_of_TCP_and_UDP_port_numbers

Lastly, use your own router, Have your ISP put your modem (which they provide is commonly used as a router) into Bridged Mode and let your router handle all of the traffic. Get a good network person to set this up for you. Your ISP router is usually junk,
and it has its own firewall. So, if you set ports on your router, but your ISP's equipment is not configured, well then you are wasting your time.

Thanks ruelk, you sorted my problem out! I had the same problem 53, 80 and 88 were preventing me using the internet whenever I opened those ports. Now I have an open NAT with just:

    Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)

    Port 500 (UDP)

    Port 3544 (UDP)

    Port 4500 (UDP)

Port 3074 cannot be used on both Xbox 360 & Xbox One simultaneously due to port overlap.

Step 7 is flawed, there is no "setup" from the menu at the top. I went through local connection and found DHCP reservation and selected my xbox one from there.

Every time I open up all the ports that xbox forums tells me to, my DNS is trashed, and I can't use the internet anywhere anymore. I have to reset my router every time and go through hell trying to set it back up, just to get my internet back and start
    again at ground zero.

The ports are forwarded. Looking through the Linksys forums people posted that port 53 shouldn't be forwarded. As soon as I deleted that port and kept the other ports my internet started working again. Port 53 was open on the other router that I used to
own but for some reason with the new EA series of Linksys routers, port 53 must not be forwarded. Anyway, I'm good to go now and no static id is required. Thanks for your help everybody.
