Linking Xbox account to my alt EA account

I want to have a second account for my Xbox game pass for PC games, separate from my main account which I use for playing EA games I already own, being Battlefield 1 on Steam and Star Wars Battlefront 2 on Epic Games. However, every time I try to log in from the Xbox app, I'm always connected to my main account, despite my Xbox account and EA account not even sharing the same email address. Would I lose my progress on my main account if I un-linked my Xbox account from my main and re-linked it to my alt, and if so, would there be any way to have a separate account for Xbox subscription saves and other platform saves?

According to the EA Link FAQ:

"Linking your EA Account to your platform profiles, like your Xbox gamertag, PlayStation:tm:Network Online ID, Nintendo Account, or Stadia Account lets you get online to play our games and save your progress. However, your game progress won’t be able to cross different platforms (like PlayStation to Xbox)."

So, if you play on PC and you want to keep playing on PC you should be able to see your progress if you link your EA account with a different Microsoft account

If you decide to unlink your EA account from your main Microsoft account, probably the next time that you decide to open a EA game, their system could ask you to create an EA account in order to keep playing

Thank you for the help! I could not find a way to link my Xbox account to my already existing account, but I instead made a new EA account from my Xbox one, as you said I'd have to. My progress was not lost and I am able to use the new account with my game pass subscription.

If the account is not linked to an EA account you can create another EA account and link your Xbox account with it.

I have exactly the same problem. I don't even know what EA account has been linked to my Xbox account. I can't even tell you if it's mine. I've been gaming online since the 90s and I suspect at some point EA have acquired a game title for which I have an account and it's been linked to my Xbox account.

EA tell me the account is "deleted" but won't remove the Xbox link. It's a ridiculous situation and I can't link Xbox to my real EA account while the current link exists. The link between Xbox and EA should be a 2-way agreement where it can be severed from either side. I've been on to EA reps for 5 hours. They really are awful.

As it stands I can't ever play EA games through Game Pass and I'm cancelling my membership until there is a better solution in place.

If you had a previous account linking and it doesnt say "EA play with game pass" under settings-> my account -> my membership in EA Desktop app then I suggest

- Clicking Manage from the settings in EA Desktop app to go to the EA customer portal website and under Connections disconnect the xbox account

- Then log out of EA Desktop and exit both apps

- Then install a EA game from xbox app

It will log you into EA Desktop and link accounts giving "EA play with game pass" membership and start downloading from EA Desktop app

Note it says you can only ever link one xbox account to your EA account
