    Hi,

    I am experiencing issues linking my Skype account with my xbox one account.. let me explain. I have two microsoft accounts , 1 for my PC and another for my xbox one, smartglass and essentially anything xbox related.

    I read the article on "How to link an existing Skype account with a Microsoft account on Xbox One" but this does not help my scenario.

    When I iniitally set up my xbox one , I signed in with my xbox account credentials ( same ones I used for xbox 360) and then opened skype with an old skype account (username and password).Since then I can only access this old account and wish to replace
    it with my new account.

    I found a way around this by - adding another user to xbox one and entering my desired account details.

    I want to change this so that I have my current xbox one account with my current skype account.

    I've tried to describe this with as much detail as possible but I know this may be difficult to understand ....only if screenshots were already on xbox one...

    Can anyone help?

    why do I have to link my Skype account with my MS account?

    I have an existing Skype account that has all my contacts connected that I created before Skype merged with Microsoft. When I try to sign into the Skype app on Xbox One it says that it is time to link or merge my Skype account with the Microsoft account
    that I use with Xbox One. I don't want to link those accounts however since I use a separate Microsoft account for email that I would rather have linked to my Skype account. Why can't I sign in without linking accounts?

    Skype Help.

    I am wondering if i am able to sign into Skype on the Xbox One, with a different user/ email address than the one my current Xbox one account is,

    you see i have my wifes email address as my xbox live account but my skype account is under my personal email address now skype and my personal email are both merged so can i sign in under my personal email on skype and use it that way?

    Are you using your Microsoft Account to sign in to Skype on XB1 or are you using your usual Skype Name and Password?

    You can link your Skype/MSA together by going to Skype.com - I will post a few links that can hopefully be helpful to you.

    Skype Difficulties between Panasonic Viera BRDVD player & Xbox One

    I don't see how that could be the case. We both skype absolutely fine in HD using the Panasonic Viera skype app on the same connection. I use it, the other person uses it. Viera to Viera Skype Works fine. I've tested this at the same time as i've had pixelation
    on the xbox skype client. Bandwidth is fine.

    Skype from *xbox* to the same Panasonic viera client however is a different story. Massive pixelation and freezing.

    Hi!

    You are actually signed into Skype with the MSA that is used to log into Xbox. And then it is either linked with the existing Skype account (when you enter username/password) or, if you never had any Skype account, one is created in the background.

    Basically, signing into Skype happens with same MSA that you used to log into Xbox One.

    This is not an xbox one issue this is a skype app issue you do not need to hard reset your xbox ones this again is an skype app issue skype is having problems i called tec support and there aware of the problem. Again a skype app issue. Not an xbox one issue.

    Can't Snap Skype.....

    Currently Skype for Xbox One doesn't support snapping. Check the section "I’m missing a feature in Skype for Xbox One. Where is it?" in the FAQ here:

    support.xbox.com/.../skype-faq

    You can snap other apps like IE, Music and Video to the running Skype app though.
