Linking old Xbox account to new email address

well I remembered my password but it is still linked to my old email address... but the new email address is linked to the BeastlierBeef5 account ? My new email account was put in via my xbox so maybe that's where the problem lies. I now seem to have
2 accounts. This one with the wrong email address... and the one above with my current email address but no links to my games or achievements....

Your Outlook account cannot be used anymore since Outlook is also owned by Microsoft so by default, it is registered as a Microsoft/Xbox account automatically.

You can only replace the Hotmail email with an email that is not registered as an existing Microsoft account yet.

Since both email accounts are Microsoft accounts, they already have Xbox accounts attached to them. Unfortunately for you, nothing can be transferred between accounts. Your Xbox account will always be tied to the Hotmail account. The only way to have the Outlook account to be your main one would be to start over using that account.

Unfortunately none of the solutions in that link worked for me. Do you know how I can get my Outlook account to replace my Hotmail account as the link to my old Xbox profile?
