Linking Ipad with xbox app to remote play on PC xbox

The thing is, I no longer have an xbox console. I needed to be able to link the Ipad to the PC if possible since my PC is now basically my Xbox. So I can play games away from home on the desktop. I'm not even sure if it will work

The most closest thing to that is remote desktop

But it doesn't work the same as remote play for consoles.

If you already have all the remote play features enabled in your console and if you want to play using your PC, the iPad is not necessary.

You only need to have download the Xbox PC app in your PC

If you already have it, open it and you should be able to see the little console icon in the upper left

I just tried the xcloud service directly from my series s and it worked absolutely flawless.

Now I am even more confused than before.

Why can I play cloud games directly from my Xbox in an astounding quality but it is not possible to remote play from Xbox to pc/ipad.

But what confuses me even more is that it works perfectly with ps remote play.

Just tested steam remote play from the PC to the iPad and that also worked wonderfully.

Maybe it's an general problem with the series s/x consoles?

I’m using my iPad or iPhone remotely when I play games. No HDMI cable. I reset network settings on my Xbox/iPad as well. No luck.

Unfortunately there’s no way to completely disable the headset on the Xbox, as it automatically assumes a headset is plugged in as soon as I start remote playing on my iPad or iPhone. As soon as I stop remote playing, it goes back to normal.
