Linked wrong microsoft account to mojang

I typed in an e-mail to an old Microsoft account that I didn't even know was registered. It isn't my usual xbox account, and I'm wondering if it's possible to change.

I'm afraid that isn't possible on the Microsoft's end of things.

Didn't see that. Maybe the text should have been red like those arrows you're using. What I would like to know is how was it possible that there was no indication or pop-up to tell me the account I was trying to transfer to was not the same account as the one I was currently logged into? I don't get how stuff like this happens when I was already logged into the account I wanted to transfer to in the first place... And the only way to fix the issue is to buy the game again on the correct account?...

I found this question. This person has the same issue. Was my question not clear, or is it actually not possible?
