Link Minecraft from iPad to Microsoft account

I am a fairly computer savvy person, and this is the most infuriating experience I have had in a very long time. I purchased minecraft for my daughter on my iPad.
Over time she has purchased several packs etc (Frozen, How to train your dragon, etc). It gives a prompt to save to your microsoft account or "leave on device". I wanted to link it to the microsoft account, but all the process does in sign me into the microsoft account, and no longer has the purchased content on the iPad or the credits that were purchased. I can obviously sign out of my microsoft account and the content is there, but when it recommends linking to the account and does not facilitate the very thing it recommends you do, that is a programming and customer service failure. I have spend HOURS trying to find a solution to what should be a very easy process. We purchased a second copy of the game on my wife's iPad so she could play with friends etc and even with a new account I can't link it to microsoft either. Can someone please help sort this chaos!!!!

Hi, Linda.
If the accounts are already linked, it is better to play in that way.

However, another option could be creating a new PSN account and linking the Microsoft account you intended to link and use the new account just to play Minecraft.

Regarding importing worlds, the best way to do this is by creating a Realm for the worlds you want to play on your PS4 and iPad, because worlds are stored locally.

thank you for your advice. We have just found out that we had not logged into our microsoft account on the ipad minecraft 😞

so we have now started fresh with a new world in minecraft on the ipad. However, i still cannot access this new world on the nintendo switch minecraft
