    Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII crashes on Xbox Series S


    Hey everyone,

    I'm experiencing an issue playing Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII on my Xbox Series S console via backwards compatibility. When I encounter an enemy and engage into battle, the game freezes. The strange thing is, I don't experience this issue on an Xbox Series X console.

    I have already restarted the box, reinstalled the game and even reset the console, to no success. Just wondering if there is a bug with the Series S/One S build of the game. I have already contacted Square-Enix support, but there are basically giving me advise on how to troubleshoot using Xbox 360 documentation, even though I explicitly told them I'm using an Xbox Series S console., so I doubt I will get anywhere with them.

    Anyone with an Xbox Series S experiencing this issue with Lightning Returns?

    Who is hoping for FFXIII-3?

    It's going to be called Final Fantasy XIII Lightning Returns, which Square Enix is sheduling for release this year \^u^/ for both Xbox 360 and PS4. Question is since Xbox One and PS4 also will release this year, will they create the game for those consoles
    which should mean better graphics on Xbox One and PS4 compared with Xbox 360 and PS3.

    I love Final Fantasy XIII. It was my first Xbox 360 game. Also got Final Fantasy XIII-2. Cant wait until it releases. Graphics look good. And they've released an official trailer of Final Fantasy Lightning Returns.

    [/quote]Thanks, looks sweet but also raises a lot of questions. Hundreds of years after XIII-2 when XIII-2 almost comprised 700 Years? So, is it during XIII-2 or set hundreds of years after the 700+ Time-span?

    I loved Final Fantasy XIII's entire soundtrack. I never played 13-2 or Lightning Returns. That sounded like the combat music in FF XIII but remixed. I enjoyed it.
