Yes. In a word. If the console was unopened and untampered with, an out of warranty repair would be $99usd+tax where applicable. Microsoft would have either repaired or replaced the console. After a self repair, 3rd party repair or anything else considered
to be tampering according to the CoC, Microsoft will no longer accept it as a valid repairable console.

If its every games, its preemptive to an E74. i would begin a repair order for it or get a newer S model. Last I checked out of warranty and untampered with repairs were flat rate $119 but maybe its changed.
