Got it to work reddit for the save!!

Follow exactly this order to advance and solve the bug:

• Load the last checkpoint
  
• Clear the ground to make the secret door appear.
  
• Try to open the door
  
• Climb to the top of the barn
  
• Go back in time to return the engine to its original place.
  
• Hook the rope to the engine
  
• Ask Chloe to hook the rope to the padlock
  
• Push the engine
  

The game breaks due to Max attaching the rope to the padlock instead

I'm glad to hear you found a solution for this issue! However, I still suggest reporting it to Square Enix so they can fix it and prevent future players from running into this issue.

Two things to try.

1: Reset your console by holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it completely shuts off. Turn it on and try the game again.

2: If the first step doesn’t work, delete the episode and redownload it. You won’t lose your game progress.
