License Transfer failed, still got the four month timeout.

Dear Support Forums,

So yesterday I booted up one of the various xbox 360s that I've used over the years, and after downloading my account and trying to get my old dlc licenses onto this console I got the "communication with xbox live failed" message. I cleared the cache and
retried, this time was informed I'd have to wait until four months had passed. Any chance of resetting this timeout?

License transfer all content?

In the moment you perform a license transfer from a console to another the first console loses the right of license regarding the transferred content. You can perform the transfer license back after four months

 

Oh shoot, I'm an idiot, I just assumed it failed because of that communication error message thing. I can actually access all my DLC. SOLVED!

 

after license Transfer you have to "redownload" the games you intend to Play to update your license, did you do that afterwards?

 

If that doesn't work and you still want to do the transfer give phone support a call and explain the situation to them. They can do a manual transfer for you.
