    i got a new xbox 360 last month and after i transferred all my content thru the cable i pressed the license transfer button on my old xbox thinking it give me info on how to properly do the license transfer instead it did a license transfer on my old xbox..
    is there any way i can do it again on my new xbox? it's starting to bother me because i have to sign into xbox live watch videos from windows media center and my computer everytime..

    license transfer problem

    I just ordered new model of Xbox 360. So I decided to check the license transfer thing before it arrives. So I'd know how to do it when it arrives.

    I created this profile on the console I still use. I clicked the license transfer, and apparently it transferred the licenses from my current console to the same console. And now it says I can't transfer licenses until early 2014.

    Do I have to wait until 2014 to actually start using my new console? or is there anything to be done? considering the licenses didn't really transfer anywhere..

    Contact phone support and explain the issue to them. They should be able to do a manual transfer for you.

    You should be able to call support and arrange for a license transfer early. They're supposed to provide one on purchase of a new console.

    Sadly know, you have to wait.

    If you call phone support with the issue, they may be able to trigger an early license transfer for you if you explain the mistake to them.

    I just wanted to add to the above post that if you need to do a license transfer early you should contact phone support and explain the issue to them. They may be able to do a manual transfer for you.

    License transfers will only transfer licenses between consoles. There is no way to transfer licenses between accounts.
