LG C1 and series X clarity settings grayed out.

On the Xbox console go to general Tv & display options, video modes, turn off allow variable refresh rate. Press settings button on LG C1 remote go to game optimizer turn off. You can now access the clarity tab on picture settings and have AI functions. Enjoy streaming apps with Dolby vision & Dolby Atmos be immersed. When you want to play games Turn the VRR on and Game optimizer.

It should only effect video not games. VRR off for video, VRR on for gaming.

Yes it's a pain and I don't know why either the Xbox or the tv can't automatically disable settings not used for things like video but... Maybe it's a limitation of HDMI 2.1

As for motion pro... You don't want to use it. It's not beneficial in any way I can see and I tested it on my CX before getting a C1.

I did talk to LG support and they have recommended I return the TV. Is there any way to confirm that these settings should be working with the series X? Returning the TV is a pretty big hassle if those settings just don’t work with the Series X.

There is nothing wrong with the TV. I have the same issue with my C1 where the settings are grayed out. In order to resolve this you need to go into you Xbox settings to Video Modes and disable VRR. Next go into the C1 settings and disable Game Optimizer. I noticed that leaving Game Optimizer on even if you are not using that mode can introduce issues like intermittent judder and artifacts. Now you're able to watch your video content with whatever clarity settings you want. Youl'll have to switch game optimizer and VRR back on when you want to play games. A little bit of a pain but you will be able to access your settings and they will work when you are watching video content.

But mate then its not possible to play games with HDR10 if you use the game optimiser? that doesnt make much sense Like why would u not be able to use the full fucntions together, hdr vrr allm 4k 120hz as the tv and console says it has. Game like red dead redemption was made with hdr - so it wont also be possible to do that? or does the TV automatically register the game as HDR ready and then applies on its own? im so lost. Just want the full performance out of my gaming
