LG 39oled , lagging while playing games !

Please check display settings. Make sure that the refresh rate and resolution in your system settings match the monitor's specifications (e.g., 3840x2160 at 120Hz for the LG UltraGear 39 OLED).

On Windows, go to Display Settings > Advanced Display Settings to adjust these.

And then update graphics drivers. Ensure that your GPU drivers are up to date because an outdated drivers can cause performance issues with high-end monitors.

Next is check displayport cable. Use a high-quality DisplayPort 1.4 cable to ensure proper bandwidth for 4K gaming. A faulty or lower-spec cable might cause issues.

Then update the BIOS and chipset drivers for your MSI B650 Gaming Plus WiFi motherboard. This can improve compatibility with newer hardware.

After that is to test HDMI Connection. If HDMI isn't working, try using a different HDMI cable or port. Ensure the monitor's input is set to HDMI and that the cable supports 4K at 120Hz.

Look for firmware updates for your LG UltraGear monitor. These updates can fix bugs and improve performance.

If lowering the resolution improves performance, it indicates vthat your GPU is struggling to handle the monitor's native resolution. Kindly adjust in-game graphics settings to balance performance and visuals.

don't get a lg seriously...... I got the 3d lg TV and there is lag when gaming. takes about half a second to process the picture even on game mode. I am currently trying to take my TV back which is working out a bit of a pain......I ran LG and they said
half a second lag is acceptable.....eeeerrrrr no it isn't

Many of the new tvs offer settings to help accomodate performance while using your Xbox. This is typically called Game Mode. I did find a post regarding your particular make and model and it looks like it is a common issues.

I would make sure you update the firmware of the TV as it looks like even in game mode people are still having issues. Good luck.

I have an LG OLED EVO G1 series TV, LG claims the response time in the game mode is 10ms.

I also have a PS5 both are connected directly to the TV.

The Xbox series X input lag is noticeable when compared to the PS5.



I don’t know if this is still true but Xbox used to have a feature called input lag compensation which basically penalizes you for having a good connection. That may be okay in an Xbox only lobby, but in a cross play forget it.

Thanks for that sometimes when I go into my settings i see that my NAT type is on Moderate but every time I got to Test NAT Type it always says its open. I check my Multiplayer connection and its says everything is good. So yeah its really annoying in the
first 35 minutes into a fifa game everything works fine but then during the game the lag kicks in and just lags the game.
