Lenience for Old Perma-Banned Accounts

Is there any way to give lenience to old accounts that got perma-banned? Four years ago I had an account that was banned until 12/31/9999 without warning. I had changed account info through Horizon (which I later realized was a mistake), and a day later
I got banned. Thing is, one of my friends did the exact same thing, but the Moderators changed his info back and gave him a warning.

Why did I get the ban-hammer with no prior warning, when other people got off scott-free? I'm tired of not being able to do anything with my old account. If I delete it from my 360 on accident, it's gone forever. Isn't there a way to get
rid of the ban on the account, especially when it was banned four years ago - when the rules were much different, and much more strict, than they are now? The gamertag that belonged to that account wasn't even one of the gamertags that was made available again
a while back.

If you aren't doing anything wrong you'll be fine, and they'll basically only perma ban your account if you modify it.

You would have had to contact the enforcement team at the time that the ban happened. Since it's been over a year, there's no way to contact them about the ban and it will not be unbanned.

Your warning is the code of conduct/terms of service you agreed to when you signed up. The rules were exactly the same 4 years ago.

ok but you have to agree a perma ban for a pfp on a account that was 9 years old with 3k atleast spent on it is a bit much

I got a perma ban on the account i bought it on (ban came from my brother who i no longer share an account with) but i thought the game licence stays on the xbox. Also the account that has the perma ban is still on my xbox. When i got the perma ban and
made this account i got a console ban for using a new account before the console ban i had it and when my console ban was lifted i cant find most games i want to download :/

yes you can, you can escalate via support and they can overturn perma bans, but if you are banned for something outright your own fault then no. a friend of mine got a perma ban and a console ban, he is now back on psn and they even overturned the console ban.

they had been to aggressive with the ban compared to the incident therefore they relaxed the ban to a temp ban which he had already spent time banned which they took into account and therefore unlocked the account.

and at least you can contact somebody about the bans unlike xbox.
