Lego Marvel's Avengers issue on Level 12

My son has been playing this game and suddenly has come to a road block. After completely level 12 it shows him what bonuses, studs, etc he gets from completing the level then it goes to a lengthy cut scene. eventually rolling ending credits The last thing
we see is Thanos taking his gear out of a clothes dryer and putting on his mask. After that the screen goes black. We get nothing after that. One time the unit eventually after a few minutes went back to the home screen (at that point he was logged out
of live).

A couple of times we had to do a hard shutdown of the system as it was unresponsive. Going back into the game and loading his save gets the same results as above (no gameplay - you're just presented with finishing the level and then the cut scenes.

I've gone various Google searches but come up empty handed. Any ideas?

Cancel the purchase of the game

I am the owner of the Xbox 360 console. I want to cancel the purchase of the game LEGO® Marvel's Avengers, it turned out that the game only works on the Xbox One console. Is it possible?

I do not plan to buy a new game console.

The Avengers/Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron + Bonus, it will not qualify.
