Left stick drift on all Xbox controllers on win 11?

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing left stick drift on all your Xbox controllers on Windows 11.

- Make sure your controllers are updated to the latest firmware version. You can do this by connecting them to your Xbox console or using the Xbox Accessories app on Windows 10 (not Windows 11). -

Try to recalibrate your controllers using the Windows Game Controller Settings. You can access this by typing "joy.cpl" in the search box on the taskbar and selecting "Game Controllers". Then, select your controller and click "Properties". Go to the "Settings" tab and click "Calibrate". Follow the instructions on the screen and see if this improves the performance of your controllers.

We have 3 X1 controllers drift forward between me and my son, all left stick drift forward. Pretty sure it's from playing games where sprint is assigned to the left stick. The army camo controller only lasted about a month. Strange thing is, my day one 2013
controller is still fine.

Anyway, I use to get through 360 controllers at a similar rate, only difference was the left sticks drifted left on those.

I have personally only had one controller break for me in the past 11 plus years on Xbox. Like everything care is a must. The only controller I had issues was on the xbox one where I got left stick drifting.

I've experienced the left stick drifting on 2 controllers.

That's odd that your left stick seems to only drift in the Hitman games . Does the right stick drift as well? I'm assuming that controls the camera and aim.

I recommend opening up the Xbox Accessories app and then go into the Configuration page for your Elite controller. From here scroll over to Left Stick to get into the sensitivity graph. This page will give you a visual representation of the input your controller
is receiving. You can notice from here if your left stick is drifting in general and not just in those games. It's possible that the in game sensitivity settings make it more noticeable then any other games if the stick is in fact drifting after the stick
goes back to it's original position after being pressed.

To compensate you can make a controller configuration profile for the Hitman games and set the left stick to Smooth or Delayed to have some more resistance on how far the controller inputs go. Play around with the slider and choose a setting that best resists
the controller drift. You can set it to Slot 1 or 2 and switch to this profile whenever you play Hitman.
