Left rumble motor on an Xbox one wireless controller causing the entire controller to jostle ...

I've been using an xbox one controller to play games on my pc, but recently the controller has been shaking more than usual when games trigger the rumble, to the point that playing with rumble enabled is actually hurting my wrists. Using a third party
testing app I determined that the problem is caused by the left motor, the right one rumbles normally, but the left motor shakes extremely hard regardless of how intense the rumble is supposed to be. Does anyone know of an easy fix for a single motor acting
up, or am I going to need to send it in for repairs?

XB1 Battery Life?

Actually as far as I know there are four rumble motors in the Xbox one Controllers as opposed to the two in the Xbox 360 Controller.. The Xbox One Controllers has the "impulse motors" in the triggers.. But I assume that onyx62is could have ment to say that
there are two more rumble motors in the Xbox one Controllers than there is in the 360 controllers..

Xbox One Elite Controller rumble motor issue

I am also getting this issue with my 20 day old Elite controller, except the left rumble motor is what is making the squealing noise for me. I used the Xbox Accessories app to test the inividual rumble motors and it seems like the left rumble is squeaking
worse when I reduce the rumble level to 50% and below.

The noise sounds like the capacitor whine which some graphic cards suffer from.

If your controller is acting up then repairs would be the way to go so long as you didn't have to take the controller apart to test it.

devicesupport.microsoft.com. Be sure that the controller is registered with your console to set up the repair.

With the Nintendo 64, the Rumble Pack was an option, but not every developer at the time considered the use of Rumble Motors for games until Sony released the Dualshock Controller for the Playstation. Now the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 have rumble motors
in their controllers and a large percentage of games utilize that technology for a more interactive experience.

There are some great third party controllers out there that are a fair bit lighter. Generally my suggestion is to look for controllers without rumble, the rumble motors are some of the heaviest components in them, so if you can find a controller without
rumble motors it'll be quite light. The hyperkin SNES style controller might be worth checking out.
