LB button not registering No input Elite Series 2

I am currently on my third Elite Series 2 Controller, ALL THREE have this defect where pressing RB or LB occasionally results in the input being registered twice by the game. 2nd input usually happens on release of Bumper. Tested on different games, tested
on both Xbox one X and PC. I am so confused as to why this is happening and i cant find anyone else having the same issue.

Any ideas?

My pad works fine, I don't have this issue, also tried games like Gears 5 and Warframe where LB is frequently pressed, but 0 issue.

Thanks for sharing your story, i want to get an elite series 2 as i have a series 1 from release and all been ok apart from i think the LB button is starting to miss presses sometimes....... but after hearing all of the horror stories about the series 2,
its really putting me off buying one
