Launching Prey on Xbox Game Pass for PC

Check if you are correctly logged on Microsoft Store App and Xbox App (beta) with the account that have Xbox Game Pass PC subscription.

Off the top of my head some good games on PC/for PC with Game Pass would be... The Outer Worlds, Age of Empires 2, The Red Strings Club, Rage 2, Prey, and Nightcall.

I have tried using both the Xbox app and the Microsoft store. Neither one works. Also I do not have enough space on the ssd to download.

You can also install an app and later move the app to a different drive.

To move an app to a different drive:

1. Press Windows key + I together to open Settings.

2. Click on Apps > Apps & features.

3. Click on the app that you want to move, and select Move.

4. Select the destination drive.

For anyone having problems still, for me "Change where new content is saved" was already set to my second drive (the one I wanted to install on) and it was not showing up in the Microsoft Store drop-down.

Try this as well to try and fix the problem:

Open "Change where new content is saved", change them all back to C: and apply

Open the 'Microsoft Store' and the app/game page of you want to install

Go back to "Change where new content is saved" and change them all back to the drive you wanted to install to.

Click install, Microsoft Store should now accept the second drive.

Ive also just run into this problem. I tried the advice given about selecting a location for apps to download to and than reinstalling the Xbox Game Pass app. But this did not change a thing for me.

In your case you should also check your hard disk (Type in the following command which will run a check disk here for c:.
chkdsk C: /r/f and hit Enter). After you checked all of your HDD you should start with my second post and than follow the first and maybe your user account Need the Administrator Right!!!!

When I try to run checkdisk from the command prompt (which I run as admin by default) it had to schedule the check. I have not yet let it run, as I wanted to try another option that was presented here about moving the program.

As it looks now (the program is currently in progress of being moved to my prefered drive) it looks like I have to instal it to the System Drive (C and can later move it to the drive of my choosing.

I'll have to check if the game will still run once its done, but its a step further as Ive gotten so far. I tried changing the Default locations of all new apps, tried changing the Default location of choosing in the Xbox Game pass App, and than reinstalling
the app. But those options didnt change a thing for me. It HAD to be installed to my System drive.

Now, I had enough room on that drive (had 11gb spare after the game was installed, so it didnt feel to great to me ) so I did, because I saw the suggestion of moving it afterwards.

I will keep you posted if this works.

For those that do not have enough room to install to C and move it later (if the game runs once its done) I had to move ALL my private files, IE: Documents, Downloads, Pictures etc etc etc to one of my data drives. I have plenty of room on all other drives,
so it was easy to just move and if it works, I can move them back if I want. But that was needed for me to clear enough room for the installation. It might help others once those folders are no longer on the System drive, as they tend to eat up quite a bit
of space over time
