Launching games from PC Xbox app - getting error 0x80070002 and the MS Store is showing...

Upon reading the description you have posted, it seems that you have an issue with Xbox wherein you want to know how you can avoid games being reinstalled and get rid of the error code: 0x80070002 that you constantly get when you try to launch your games from the Xbox App of your PC.

We understand, that it could be sometimes frustrating when you keep on encountering the same issues everytime. Using a temporary fix is still not viable given that it comes back after you have fixed it. That is why we will do our best to provide you with some other possible options that you can try to permanently fix your problem.

• What is the make and model of your device?

However the solution that was provided was meant for Windows 11 OS version's but you can still try it as Windows 11/10 still have an identical UI or system settings. Thanks for the reply and for patiently waiting for our response.

We noticed that your screenshot has included your email address. To make sure your personal information is well kept for your protection, we cut out the screenshot and post it.

Though the error code is related about the Xbox Live - Error 0x80070002 occurs while launching or installing a PC game | Xbox Support. Where the recommendation is to wait for a while, then try launching or installing again. Installing the app would take a while.

So, we would suggest this, on Microsoft Store and search for Microsoft Flight Simulator then launch the game from there. Make sure that the account on Microsoft Store is showing as the same account that acquire the game to match everything.

Let us know how it went and what error message or code it displays. Please post a screenshot of the issue and conceal any personal information.

If you are experiencing error 0x80070002 when installing apps on your Xbox, you can try the following steps to fix it:



- Reinstall the Xbox app by opening PowerShell as administrator and running this command: Get-AppxPackage *xboxapp*| Remove-AppxPackage

- Download the Xbox app again from the Microsoft Store and check if the issue is resolved.

- If not, update your Windows 10 to the latest version by going to Settings > Update & Security and clicking Check for Updates.

- If the error still persists, make sure all the Xbox services are running by opening Services and starting these entries: Gaming Services, Xbox Accessory Management Service, Xbox Live Auth Manager, Xbox Live Game Save, and Xbox Live Networking Service.

I was able to following the instructions in this thread and it seemed to now allow me to install through the MS Store, but same error exists installing through Xbox app.
