Launching FarCry 5 error code 0x8b0500b6

have looked in forums and in code finder and nothing. every time I go to launch the game it goes to title screen of the game and about 5 seconds later it kicks me back to the home screen of all my games. have installed and uninstalled
twice both times going to 100 %

I am getting error code 0x8b0500b6 for any games I try and run. I try and start them and it will think for up to a minute and then takes me back to them home screen. After trying to start the game a few times, it gives the error code 0x8b0500b6 and says
to go to xbox.com/errorhelp but this error isn't in there yet. Someone please assist.

Was able to resolve this through the support chat line. If you have the same issue, follow these steps to resolve it:

1) Remove your profile

2) Power off your system and unplug it for 2 minutes

3) Power back on and Re-add your profile

4) Try running your game. It might say it needs an update. If so then update it.

Should be good at that point.

 

Not sure if you're still having this problem. I had the same issue today when launching FarCry and there were still no results for 0x8b0500b6. I turned off my Xbox and pulled the power cord out for a while. After rebooting it turns out there was an update
for FarCry that just needed to download. Just leaving this comment in case anyone else has this issue and hasn't unplugged their Xbox yet.
