Launching a game switches the account I have signed in.

I created a secondary account to play through FH5 again without resetting my save on my main account. I used to be able to switch between my accounts and play the game flawlessly.

As of today, I am able to switch accounts, but when I load into the game, the game uses my main account, not my alternate account that I want to play on.

I tried setting up a script I saw in another post that dealt with the same issue. The script is as follows:

Get-AppxPackage *gamingservices* -allusers | remove-appxpackage -allusers

Remove-Item -Path "HKLM:\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\GamingServices" -recurse

Remove-Item -Path "HKLM:\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\GamingServicesNet" -recurse

But my system returns an error, saying "RepairGamingServices.ps1 cannot be loaded because running scripts is disabled on this system."

I appreciate any help with this issue.

Hehe, and don't worry. Sometimes scripts fails.

I usually prefer copy / paste the commands

Well I was going to say windows 10, but that solved my issue!

Josef, you're a saint and made my day.

You can be satisfied in knowing that it didn't even cross my mind to run the commands outside the script, and I have a degree in computer science lmao.

Did you tried running directly the commands in the powershell window?

Press Windows key + X and then select Windows PowerShell (Admin).

Type or copy / past the following command and press Enter:

Get-AppxPackage *gamingservices* -allusers | remove-appxpackage -allusers

**You can copy/paste the others two shared in your post description

Restart the PC and Open the Xbox application.

A blue notification with the following message is going to appear at the bottom:
"This app needs an extra component. Gaming Services is needed for playing some games. Administrator approval required. Install"
Select Install to reinstall Gaming Services, once installed check again

If that doesn't work, please try and double check the next:
Press Windows button and type Services

On Services App from the list of results, press right-click and run it as administrator

Scroll to the bottom and find the following services:

IP Helper
Xbox Live Auth Manager
Xbox Live Game Save
Xbox Live Networking Service
Gaming Services

And do this with each of the services listed above:

Right-click over the service and select Properties.
Find the Startup type section and make sure it’s set to Automatic (if not, change it to automatic)
If the service isn’t started, click Start to start the services

Restart your PC and check again.

By the way, are you on windows 10 or 11?

And, in case you have an antivirus enabled. Disable all the protections temporarily

All what you have to do is

1. Sign in his account

2.launch the game you want to play

3.after launching the game switch to your account without signing out for his

4.???

5.profit

Okay, so I was able to launch the game just fine on an offline user. Now when I switched backed to my actual account, I'm not able to launch the game at all. I've signed out of the local user. Fallout is the only game that will not launch now.
