    "Launch game, You own this" followed by "The person who bought this needs to sign in"


    I have two Xbox One X consoles. On one of the consoles, I am able to play GTA 5 just fine.

    I installed GTA 5 on my second console, and when I start the game, I get a message saying:

    "The person who bought this needs to sign in".

    I click the "See in Microsoft Store" button

    The Grand Theft Auto V store page appears. The button at the bottom says "Launch game, You own this"

    When I click that button, I get the "The person who bought this needs to sign in" again.

    I am not trying to play on two consoles concurrently. My first Xbox is powered off. My account is the only one active on my second Xbox.

    Note: Making my secondary Xbox my "home" console is not an option, as you are only allowed to switch your home console a few times, and I don't want to be locked out of my primary console.

    This was likely due to a service alert that was up effecting the ability to play downloaded games and apps. You should be able to use them now that the alert has lifted. If you continue to have this problem please post back.

    Problem should be fixed now.. There were some problems with the xbox services..

    Do you share your account with anyone? If this error appears to require permission or buy the game occurs because of a failure to communicate with the server. When a NAT is restricted or moderate occurs a lot.

    Hi when you downloaded the game did you install it on an external memory drive?
