Latest pre Alpha is a mess making console shut down

up untill recently mine was making the swoosh sound. Since some of the latest Alpha Skip Ahead builds it has stopped. Is your console pre-owned at all?

So some clarification about this issue,

I am not joining reddit, have no desire to sorry that's my choice and I understand that there is a reddit for this issue.

thank you everyone for replies, I know alpha even alpha skip ahead and even omega can run the risk of bugs but here are the two biggest problems.

I cannot submit a report via my console because of this latest dash update, it took me 25 minutes to get to settings to shut the console down.

I cannot get into the xbox insider app to even change my insider level even of I wanted to.because none of my apps load. This alpha update unfortunately broke the console until another patch.

Go into settings and storage there should be an option to always have the hdd on or shut down when the console shuts down. choose the option that fits your needs the best. check or uncheck it. Also, before you hooked up your ext hdd did you connect it to
your pc to see if it had the latest firmware installed on it? Make sure it does.

I actually thought they shut the servers down. I played it during the alpha and didn't really enjoy it.
