latest No Man's sky update issues

after the latest No man's sky update on Xbox one I tried to start the game and it just goes to a black screen and nothing happens. I let it sit on that screen for like 20 min thinking maybe its just slow cause of the update but nothing. I restarted the
console unplugged it waited plugged it back in all of the basic troubleshooting stuff. I even removed the game and downloaded it again but still just a black screen other game are working just fine. am I the only one with this problem. if it like an update
bug whatever it just sucks cause I got game pass for the month with my reward points just to play no man's sky and I can. feel like I just wasted those points

Thanks for reaching out to the Forums for advice on how to deal with this issue. I can totally understand how this could be pretty discouraging. I suggest trying a

soft reset (reset and keep my games & apps) of the console. It could help the current version of the dashboard work with the update you did.

When you get the chance, give that a shot and let us know if that helped.

I don't have a problem launching the game. What I have is an unplayable game on Xbox One X caused by the latest updates to No Man's Sky. I have done everything but replace the console itself, but since it seems that I'm not the only person having this
issue there is no point in that route.

It sounds like something thats failing to communicate somewhere along the line.

have you tried contacting the xbox support team? They might be able to pinpoint and fix your issue more efficiently than we on the forum can
