Latest Minesweeper very slow or frozen

Minesweeper becomes unbearably slow to load, it takes at least a minute and sometimes it will just freeze at the loading screen. I have tried re-installation and reset as recommended, nothing helps.

I am using a decent laptop with a fast core i9 processor (albeit 1 or 2 generation old and a Radeon 370 gpu. (ASUS UX582 Zenbook Pro Duo)

If that doesn't work, I suggest that you reinstall the game itself.

Today I've installed the latest Windows 10 update and still getting the error signing in to Microsoft Minesweeper. The restore down/maximize button is missing from Minesweeper window.

All my stats for November have been erased after the latest compulsory update for MineSweeper. I am not a happy chappy!

None of the new achievements worked for me on Windows 8.0. The latest version of Minesweeper I was able to update to on Windows 8.0 was 1.8.0.31029.
