Late to activate my pre-paid code

I recently discovered that Xbox Live sent me a prepaid code on 30/03/2016 to be actived before 12/04/2016.

Since my son was much amazed with his first games, so I didn't got a chance to explore all the Xbox menus and configuration options during that time.

Once I had the chance to activate the pre-paid code, it was already expired and I just received error messages on the website or the console.

That said, I'd like to know if the redeem code can be reactived for my gamertag .

Error code is displayed when trying to use a pre paid Xbox Live subscription code when your Xbox Live gold is still in effect. You must wait for the subscription period to end before you can use the code. Pre Paid subscription codes cannot be used to extend
an Xbox Live subscription, only activate it

cant accept xbox live

wen i put the pre-paid xbox live code it says to contact a merchant to activate the code so plz help me avtivate the code or contact the merchant thanks.

My tenure got reset after not being able to use a pre paid code on xbox one every time i entered it ,it said you already have a membership. Which it ran out and i lost my five year tenure and only last week i was able to use a pre paid code but by then it
was to late tenure reset .

Pre Paid Card cannot activate i dont got error code or something i talked to a support guy in chat he could not help what is wrong with the activation ?

I had same code...I just chatted with support they said:

The only reason that your code is not redeeming to your account is because you are on an active paid subscription and there is a bit of a known issue with stacking paid subscriptions and pre-paid subscriptions together.

Your current subscription expires on December 8, 2016, and once expired, you can then redeem your pre-paid code without any issues!
