laptop f2 button triggers the C button function while playing video games.

Basically, while playing something like tf2, pressing the f2 button on laptops triggers the C button.

Its odd, because pressing the f2 button while for example, writing here, doesnt add a C, but it still triggers its function while playing.

so, question is, how do i disable the "f2 activates C keybind".

Also, do you have any software used to map controller buttons to the keyboard?

This issue happens with all games (steam, origin, etc...) or only Xbox app games?

1. no controller is connected.

2. controller buttons are not connected.

3. Testing shows that it happens on steam , xbox , and roblox.

Thanks for sharing this information. Please try the steps below:

- Press Windows + R > type regedit and press Enter.

- Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control and click the Keyboard Layout folder.

- Right-click the Scancode Map registry entry, and then click Delete. Restart your computer.

- Go to Start > Type PowerShell > Right click it and select “Run As Administrator” > Type the following command and press Enter:

- Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

- Restart your computer.

- Go to Start > Settings > Ease of access > Click on the keyboard tab >Turn off filter keys.

- Restart your computer.

If nothing works, please let me know if the issue started a few days ago/some time ago or as soon as you installed a game the first time.

Hey Duncan, lets try to reset the video settings on the xbox. With the xbox off, grab your controller and press and hold the right trigger while holding fown the Y button. Then press the center xbox button to power on the xbox. Keep pressing down on the
trigger and Y till the console resets then release the trigger and y button. When the console finishes booting up see if you are still experiencing the video issue.
