language and country xbox

Hello, I have a question about the language and the region of the console. I am from Spain so I speak Spanish and I do not understand the languages well but I just moved to Sweden and I would like to know if when I change the region
of my xbox I can keep Spanish in this and even more important when I buy and download games from the store I can have them in Spanish.

Windows 10 releasing this summer

Sooner than expected. Although I don't expect Xbox One support at launch. Maybe late 2015/early 2016? Then again, E3 is at the beginning of summer.

Language settings and country!

Hi Fantungen..

I'm from norway to, what I found that Works for me until MS sorts this nonsense out is that I buy stuff for my Xbox 'one via the Xbox One smartglass app.. the Smartglass app has the norvegian region set, and I found that I can buy DLC frm the app and have
it automaticly downolad/install on my XB One that is set to US/English without messing about With the counrty/region setting on the console itself..I buy my games on disc, so I havent tried tu buy a whole game on digital download, but I'd be suprised if that
is any different...

I see no good reason to regionlock Languages.. I can handle the store in Norwegian, but I like my menues and games in English!

Not the Perfect solution to the issue but better than swapping the consoles locale around while we wait for a better solution..

Next, the supported available languages that are available on the Xbox One console are here -

To change the language setting on the Xbox One -

Go to Settings > System > Language and Location > Language > there are 20 languages to choose from there

So "Greek" and "Hungarian" is a supported country. Good to know!

Hi I also support having English as a selectable language as there are alot of Expats living in other countries whose 1st language is English & would find it difficult using the Xbox in the language of their resident country

Hi there,

when the console is connected to Xbox live and you are using a Xbox live account the language is determined by the accounts country. You won't be able to select a different language then the official languages for that country.

When the console is not connected it is determined by the locale selected in the console settings.

Its based on your country's offical language support

If there isnt enough market for english for example in japan why spend 100s of thousands of dollars to make an product that sells one or two copies in your country

Locatization helps a game sells more in different markets

If you want more languages change your offical languages in your country

No matter What xbox does If none of your finish games are in english for example whats the point
