lagging on online games but wifi is great

I have been lagging online for a couple of days now and it does not seem to go away, constant lag spikes in games causing the games to become unplayable, the issue seems to only occur on games such as call of duty, halo, Fortnite, etc. I have restarted and hard restarted my Xbox as well as going into the game's data and deleting the synced data in case there was any corruption. I have also tried clearing the MAC in network settings and trying new ports for the NAT. my wifi has also been restarted but that does not seem to be the issue here. please help me figure this out as I am lost and do not know what else I can do.

Hello AleSantander, lag in games like what it mentions can be occasioned for various reasons, there are usually two types of lag, the processing and network, do not know which device is playing but depending on the game and the optimization of the game they can present lag.

You said you play over wi-fi, which is not recommended for Fps games, online etc, try connecting your network cable equipment to your router modem, this will give you greater stability in the connection, which wi-fi does not possess because it can be affected by other external factors.

I've been using WIFI on the 360 for a long time now and it's great. never have any lag issues.

this game is great, but playing online is horrible. so much lag, it messes up the experience

Hi There,

If you are connected via wifi, I recommend using an ethernet cable, your frames could be dropping because of online lag if you are playing online multiplayers?
